Remembrance Day

This Remembrance Day marks the 100th anniversary
of the end of the First World War.
It was a reason to rejoice but although the fighting was at end,
millions perished after the European war was over.

2018 also marks the anniversary of the beginning of the
flu pandemic
whose effects, unlike WWI, were felt world-side.

Sadly,
where people gathered to celebrate the armistice
sickness spread.

This Remembrance Day remember all the fallen
- casualties of both the war and the deadly flu.
