Different
time periods have their own aura. The Roaring ‘20s bring to mind flappers, the ‘50s
big cars, poodle skirts and slicked back hair. The early ‘70s had their own
look, a look that was distinct in the Vancouver of that era. My view of
Vancouver was that of an outsider gradually becoming an insider, a believer in
people’s inherent good becoming a questioner of motives.
A dose of skepticism
can be helpful in life. I am sure that many an ancestor has found that it helped
them through trying times.
I am still
checking out some information for the next round of posts and will get things
rolling in the next few days.
